What happens when a childhood in Bangalore leads to a life spanning continents, medicine, family, academia, travel and art?

In A Kaleidoscope of Memories, Grace McKee looks back on an extraordinary life shaped by curiosity, determination, family and an openness to new experiences.

Beginning with her earliest memories of growing up in Bangalore, Grace recalls a childhood surrounded by her mother, grandmother and extended family, filled with sunshine, gardens, games and the everyday adventures that left a lasting impression. From there, her journey takes her through medical school, the challenges of building a career in medicine, motherhood and the demands of balancing professional ambition with family life.

Her path eventually leads her across continents and into the world of academic medicine, including her remarkable journey from a young girl in Bangalore to becoming a professor at Harvard. Along the way, Grace shares stories of friendships, relationships, marriage, divorce, family life and the many unexpected turns that shaped her journey.

Later in life, a new chapter unfolds through her love of oil painting. From discovering her artistic talent in America to painting workshops in Tuscany and learning from accomplished artists, Grace embraces creativity with the same curiosity and determination that had guided her earlier life.

Warm, candid and often humorous, A Kaleidoscope of Memories is a reflection on a life lived across India, Britain, America and France. It is a story about overcoming obstacles, embracing change, pursuing new dreams and appreciating the people and experiences that make a life meaningful.

A remarkable life. A wealth of memories. A story worth sharing.
