About Peter Funge

Peter Egerton Funge is a British author born in Forsbrook, Stoke-on-Trent. He is the son of Harry, who was part of an RAF Lancaster Bomber crew—one of the original "Brylcreem Boys"—and the grandson of Ernest Albert Egerton V.C., who was awarded the Victoria Cross at the Battle of Passchendaele, Ypres.

Educated in Staffordshire, Peter pursued further education at Llandrillo College, earning City & Guilds qualifications. His career began with training as a florist, after which he was inducted into the NHS as an auxiliary nurse. He later worked as a mental health nurse and an Alzheimer's nurse in the private sector. Following an accident that resulted in the loss of his Achilles tendon, he retrained in computer science.

He now resides in Llandudno North Wales, where the local surroundings and history inspire his storytelling.

Meet Art, Merl and Lance, three very unusual goat brothers with a talent for finding adventure.

High above the seaside town of Llandudno, on the rugged slopes of the Great Orme, live three noble Kashmiri goats. Art, Merl and Lance may be brothers, but each has a personality all of his own: Art is the responsible leader, Merl is the thoughtful and wonderfully unpredictable elder, and Lance is the fearless daredevil.

Their ordinary day takes an extraordinary turn when they discover a mysterious wishing well on the promenade. Before long, the brothers find themselves swept through time and into a world of ancient forests, druids, magic and danger. As they journey through Llandudno's past, they encounter a historic shipwreck, meet a stranded sailor and discover that the legendary Horma Heva, the Great Dragon of the Orme, may be more than just an old Viking tale.

With adventure around every corner, the three brothers must rely on their courage, humour and, above all, their bond as a family.

The Noble Goats of Llandudno is a whimsical illustrated adventure that brings together Welsh history, local legend, magic and three unforgettable goat brothers.
